Terms of Service
Last updated: January 27, 2026
The Simple Version
Be nice. Use Shuffld for its intended purpose (managing your tasks). Don't try to break things. We'll do our best to keep the service running, but we can't guarantee perfection. If you're not happy, you can leave anytime.
What Shuffld Is
Shuffld is a task management tool that helps you overcome decision paralysis by randomly ordering your tasks. It's designed to help you get started when you're stuck choosing what to do next.
Your Account
Creating an Account
To use certain features, you'll need to create an account with your email. You're responsible for:
- Keeping your account secure
- All activity that happens under your account
- Providing accurate information
Account Termination
You can delete your account anytime by contacting us. We may terminate accounts that violate these terms.
Acceptable Use
You May
- Use Shuffld for personal or commercial task management
- Create as many tasks as you need
- Share feedback and suggestions
You May Not
- Try to hack, break, or exploit the service
- Use the service for illegal activities
- Abuse the service in ways that harm other users or the system
- Scrape or automatically collect data from Shuffld
- Resell or redistribute the service
Your Content
You own the tasks and data you create in Shuffld. By using the service, you give us permission to:
- Store your data to provide the service
- Back up your data for reliability
- Analyze usage patterns (anonymized) to improve the product
We don't claim ownership of your content. We don't use it for anything beyond making Shuffld work for you.
Service Availability
We'll do our best to keep Shuffld running smoothly, but we can't guarantee:
- 100% uptime (servers need maintenance, things break)
- Zero bugs (we fix them as fast as we can)
- Permanent storage (always keep your own backups of critical data)
We may need to temporarily suspend service for maintenance or updates. We'll try to give notice when possible.
Liability
Shuffld is provided "as is" without warranties. We're not liable for:
- Lost data (back up important stuff!)
- Missed deadlines because you relied solely on Shuffld
- Decisions you make based on task ordering
- Any indirect damages from using or not being able to use the service
In simple terms: Shuffld is a tool to help you be productive, but you're ultimately responsible for your own task management and decisions.
Pricing & Payment
Shuffld is currently free to use. If we introduce paid features in the future:
- Existing free features will remain free
- We'll clearly communicate pricing before you commit
- You can cancel paid features anytime
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms as Shuffld evolves. If we make significant changes:
- We'll notify you via email or in-app notice
- The updated terms will be posted with a new "Last updated" date
- Continued use after changes means you accept the new terms
If you disagree with updated terms, you can delete your account.

The Spirit of These Terms
Here's the deal: We built Shuffld to help people (including ourselves) be more productive. We want you to use it, enjoy it, and hopefully find it useful. We're not trying to trick you with legal jargon or take advantage of you.
If something seems unclear or unfair in these terms, please let us know. We're real people building a product we care about, and we want these terms to reflect that.
